April Fools

April 1st always brings interesting surprises, and nature is often happy to participate. This year (2015), in Michigan, we were blanketed in 2-3" of snow on March 31, playing a perfect April Fools joke on millions of people eager for spring.

Never one to miss a typographic opportunity, I ventured out to make use of nature's gift and turn an otherwise disappointing occurrence into a piece of lettering.

Fortunately the snow didn't stick around for long, and by the end of the day this transient artwork had reluctantly melted back into the earth. See below for documentation of its disappearance!
